Sara Conde has recently graduated with a Master in Fine Arts from Lehman College of the City University of New York in The Bronx; she also holds a BA in Studio Art from Hunter College of the City University of New York. In Madrid she has recently been awarded with an AVAM studio residency. Among other venues she has shown her work at Benaki Museum in Athens, Greece, Superfront Experiments in Architecture in Los Angeles, Detroit, and New York, Mayrgrove College in Detroit. In New York City she has shown at Third Ward, Bronx Blue Bedroom Project, Local Project, Lehman College, Boricua College, the Longwood Art Gallery at Hostos, and Hunter College. In 2012 she was selected as one of be best 150 artists of New York in the exhibition curate NYC in Rush Art Gallery in Chelsea, and was selected for the exhibition New Prints 2012 at the International Print Center of New York. In Europe she has shown in the contemporary art center Matadero de Madrid, Galería San Lucas, Madrid, Three Walls on Wednesdays in Athens, Greece and the Benaki Museum. Her work has been published in the books Detroit a Brooklyn Case Study by Mitch McEwen, and Against All Odds Project by Lina Stergiou and published by the Benaki Museum. Her work has also been published in Hesa Inprint, Finland, and in Flaneur Art Gallery, an application for android cell phones, and has also been included in the MOMA PS1 registry. Conde has extensively taught and worked as an art researcher at the City University of New York.

AVAM Open Studios in Madrid
I have recently been accepted to AVAM studio residency program of the Matadero Center for Contemporary Art in Madrid. On Thursday November 29, 2012 I will participate in its Open Studios event which will take place between the hours of 5 and 9 pm.
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the 5 artists in residence, and learn about their artwork and process in the context of their art studios. Artists represented are Jose Antonio Reyes, Sara Conde, Alejandro Alcázar de Velasco, and the collective Vuelta de Tuerca formed by Julia Cuadrado and Laura Díaz
